Happy 46th Daddy!

46 and still a goof ball

Daddy got a box of his favorite
Girl Scout cookies

AND a foot scrubber! Bailey saw this on tv and said Daddy needed one because his feet are TOO ROUGH. She said it was the perfect gift for Daddy! :)

Busy, Crazy, FUN Weekend!

This past weekend we took the kiddies to LA for a quick weekend trip. We left after school on Friday and came back Sunday after dinner. Our time was short, but we had a GREAT time visiting family and friends. We all wish we didn't live so far away.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, we're having a bit of a rough day today. I kinda forgot it was St. Patrick's Day (Bailey is wearing pink and blue - Gregory is wearing green, only because it is his favorite color!), Daddy's car broke so he took it to the shop and is using the van. So Gregory and I weren't able to run our errands (that included getting cabbage for dinner - so I guess I did kind of know it was St. Patrick's Day since we're having corned beef for dinner) and we have no green dessert!

What Gregory and I DID do today while Bailey
was at school was make a GREEN lunch!

Made some green rice!

Looks a lot lighter in this picture...
turned out to be a nice shade of green

We had spam and avocado maki rolls, kiwi,
apple juice and a green gummy candy

Gregory's lunch didn't have any avocado rolls

Bailey was pleasantly surprised at what we made!

Lemon Tree (Shrub) Very Pretty...

We had a dead bush in our backyard and decided to replace it with a lemon shrub! We wanted to plant a tree to mark our first year at our house and found this nice lemon shrub. I think it'll work out just perfectly!

Daddy digging a hole

Here she is!

While Daddy was working on the lemon shrub, the kids worked on their own garden. They wanted a patch of dirt where they could plant their own flowers. I think they planted a pansy, johnny jump up, geranium, and something white - along with sunflower and basil seeds.

Oh, there's the white flower behind Greggors.

Sweets getting water. Notice the puffy face? Allergic rxn to the sherbet she had the night before. (Her doctor said to give her SMALL amounts of milk to see how she reacts - she was okay with a bite last month so she tried a scoop - well, it was too much!)

Our kids would be perfectly happy playing in the dirt all day,
every day!

There's our new shrub!
We're looking forward to making lemon aide this summer!

Happy Girl's Day!

Happy Girl's Day!

Happy Girl's Day, Sweetie!

Today is Girl's Day and Bailey wanted "sushi" for dinner - She asked for Spam, avocado (her new favorite) and cucumber. I also fixed pot stickers, purple yam, strawberries, edamame and these cute happy face potatoes that I found today at this new grocery store. I had planned to make bentos for the kids, but just didn't have the energy, so this is what they got. Bailey said she loved her Girl's Day dinner and Gregory asked if we could have this kind of dinner for Boy's Day!
