I'm holed up in my bedroom. Did I mention, I don't like Halloween?? Never did and I don't think I ever will. There may have been a few years when the kids were little when I thought, "Oh, how cute!" but I got over that stage. Now I'm back to not particularly liking the holiday. I used to suck it up and pass out candy, but the last two years I decided to forgo that as well. Much safer for me to be here in my room while the crazies our out there!
My kids, on the other hand, LOVE this holiday! Think it's the best thing since sliced bread, so I gotta kind of still participate :\
| This morning the kids carved their pumpkins! Clark and I were busy so the kids did the carving all by themselves! |
| Honestly, I think they had more fun doing it on their own. Usually Clark doesn't let them do much |
| They worked hard getting the seeds out and making a face |
| They turned out pretty cute, yes? Gregory's is on the left, Bailey's right |
| After basketball practice, we whipped up a quick spooky dinner! Bailey can't eat oranges so that was just a decoration. Oh! I forgot to add the crinkle cut fries in the picture! :\ |
| Gregory doesn't eat cheese so his face is kaki!! |
| This year, Clark is picking up a couple of Gregory's neighborhood buddies |
| Gregory loves pumpkin seeds so before he left, he started cooking them with me |
| This year we roasted them in olive oil, butter, mrs dash, garlic powder, a little salt and parmesan cheese. They are quite tasty! |
