Grandma had a couple of large glass jars so we turned them into spooky jack-o-lanterns! We cut up orange and yellow tissue paper and mod podged them onto the jar. After it dried the kids cut out pieces for their jack-o-lantern face and we turned them into stickers so they could glue them onto the jar. We put in a few of those battery operated flames and we can't wait until the sun goes down to enjoy them!

Mod Podge Pumpkin
Today I kept Gregory home from school. He wasn't his perky self this morning and had a bit of a fever. I gave him some Tylenol and he was well enough to work on a little Halloween project.

Our Little Man is THREE!
I don't know how many times I say this, but where does the time go??? Today Gregory turned three! Bailey and I woke him up singing Happy Birthday and from that point he was having his "Birthday Boy Day!" He did have to spend an hour of the morning at a meeting with me (he wasn't thrilled about that), but after our meeting we stopped off at the donut store for two donut holes for his special morning treat and picked up two boxes of popsicles for him to take to school tomorrow. For lunch he made ham roll ups and we packed them in their new bento boxes from Auntie Lynn and Lauren. While Bailey was at therapy we went shopping for candles for his birthday cake and after we got home mommy got to work baking that cake! We had bbq chicken with baked beans for dinner and cake for dessert. Daddy came home in time to blow up a couple of balloons, watch Gregory blow out his birthday candles and open a couple of presents. Now he and Bailey and busy playing with his new Little People toy Bailey picked out for him yesterday. He tells me thank you for making his birthday cake and he enjoyed his day! Tomorrow he'll celebrate a little more at school and I hope it'll bring more smiles to his little face.

God's Angel
This morning Grams entered the gates of Heaven. She died peacefully at 96 years old and she will be missed more than words can express. We hold many wonderful memories of our time here together on earth and she will always live within our hearts.

Bailey's First Day of School
This morning we dropped Daddy and Gregory off at the park and Bailey and I went to school! It was so nice too see all of Bailey's old friends from last year. Bailey played while I chatted with the moms. I probably had as much fun as she did! This year her small group teacher is Suzy! She's with five of the six kids she was with last year, plus one new little boy. It's going to be another great year for her!

Gregory Started School Today!
Yesterday Gregory's small group teacher came over to our house to introduce herself and meet Gregory. Her name is Omneya and she brought over a nice Meadowlark t-shirt, parent handbook and a new book for Gregory with her. She read the new story, played with the kids for a bit and we chatted. I love that this school does home visits! It really helps the kids feel comfortable about starting school.
Today was the first day of school. (It was actually a visitation day.) I was able to stay with Gregory and school only lasted 1 hour. We looked for his cubby, played and had a circle time. Fun time. This year Gregory will have 4 people in his small group. There will be four teachers and one parent volunteer for 18 kids! Love it! He is just going to have a great year.

Would've been nice to take a picture of his new teacher! Had the camera all ready and didn't remember until she left! UGH.

Pie on a Stick
In need of a quick, easy and quite cute dessert? Make little pies on a stick! I've run across these cuties on a few blogs lately so yesterday the kids and I decided to whip up a batch. All you need is a package of Pillsbury Pie Crust, sticks, and some type of filling to put in them. We used apricot jam and chocolate chips. Top with a little icing and enjoy!
