Trick-or-Treating! The Spooky Night is Finally Here!

Some fun photos from our evening Trick-or-Treating! We didn't think Gregory would make it out, but at the last minute he changed his mind and joined Bailey and Daddy for a night of trick-or-treating.

Our jack-o-lantern
Bailey dressed as a butterfly and
Gregory as a jack-o-lantern (again)
This house is always decorated for every holiday.
When we take a walk we always make
sure to go by and see the decorations.
Daddy pulled the kids around in our wagon.
Look at that huge pixie stick someone was passing out!

Look at all the CANDY!! Unfortunately we had to bag them all up and Daddy will take them to work. Skittles and Starburst are actually on the safe list, but we decided to just bag everything. What do kids with allergies do with their candy?

Bailey enjoying some candy WE bought.
At least we know it's safe for her.

Gregory enjoying his candy. I was worried he wasn't going to want to bag up his candy to give away, but he just said "allergic" and bagged it all up!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

More Spooky Pumpkins

Today Bailey and Gregory decorated more pumpkins. This time they made pumpkin heads! We washed the pumpkins, dried them off and poked a bunch of holes so we could stick the pieces in the pumpkin. Once they were done they took them to the front yard and placed them for all to see!

The Spooky Jack-o-Lantern

Tonight Daddy came home a little early (6pm) so we could carve our pumpkin! We laid an old table cloth on the floor and away we went.

While Daddy was carving the face, the kids made pies on the floor with the pulp. I think this was the highlight of the evening!

By the end of the night, Bailey's legs were covered with pumpkin pulp!

PUMPKIN SEEDS! I'm hoping the kids aren't allergic to them. We're going to cook them up tomorrow for them to taste.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Spooky Dinner

Take a pumpkin
Clean out the seeds and pulp
Stuff it with a meatloaf
Bake it at 350 for 1 1/2 - 2 hours
Carve a jack-o-lantern face and there you have your spooky dinner!

Halloween Parade!

Today Bailey was in her first parade! At preschool they had a little Halloween parade. All the kids dressed up in their costumes and marched around the courtyard to spooky music. So cute!

Every day when the kids arrive they have to wash their hands first.

Gretchen and the kids marching.

Bailey the Butterfly
Mommy, time to go for our walk!
While Bailey is at school, Gregory and I
try to go out for a walk for a little exercise.

Cruising the Streets of Stockton

This morning we decided to go to Tracy to take care of some stuff.

So we called up Grandma and Grandpa to see if they'd be home in the afternoon so we could stop by and say "Hello!" They said they'd be home, so we stopped by for a quick visit. (We had to get home by 7:00p to watch the USC game.)

Anyways, check out how much fun the kids had!

I didn't think Bailey would be able to keep the gas pedal down,
but she got the hang of it and had a GREAT time!
This car has a button to push with your thumb,
so it's a little easier to run.
Bailey's turn on the car
Gregory's turn on the tractor
Daddy had to get in on the action, too.

Happy Birthday my little Sweetie!

My little sweets turned 4 today! A lot has happened in these last four years, but it sure seems like only yesterday she was born. Where has the time gone? And what did we do before we had her?

This morning Daddy woke her up singing Happy Birthday. Bailey responded "Daddy, be quiet, Gregory is still sleeping!" Too funny.

Today was a school day, so we brought popsicles for a treat. Another little boy also had his birthday today and he brought muffins! They had quite a little celebration. Bailey got to wear a crown and they sang Happy Birthday to her and they even took a photo for her portfolio. In addition to that, the San Ramon Fire Department came for a visit! They were able to get on the fire truck and even squirt water from the hose!! What a great experience for the kids. Now when would you even get to try something like that? (Unless you were a fireman, of course) On they way out the door, each child got a fireman's hat to take home too. Such a special day at school for her. I just love this school!!

Tonight we'll have something with stuffing (her favorite). Probably chicken and gravy. And we'll sing Happy Birthday and eat our spooky crispy treats! :)
