Our Adventure

Tonight Daddy's office celebrated their 10th Anniversary so we ventured out to San Francisco to celebrate with him.  The kids doubled up their homework on Monday and Tuesday so they'd be free today.  We came home from school (Bailey had a field trip to the farm!), took a bath and spiffied up a bit and made our way to the Walnut Creek BART station (for our very first BART ride!) and headed into San Francisco.  BART has lots of rules Mommy covered at home and we all made it safely into SF.  

The BART ride was quite fun for the first 5 minutes or so.  Then the pressure (oh the PRESSURE) got to our little ears and we couldn't wait to get off.  Thank goodness we only had to ride to West Oakland on the way home!

Grown-up parties are okay.  We had fun meeting everyone Daddy works with and enjoyed our picnic dinner, but we had the most fun just hanging out in Daddy's office!  He has all sorts of tchotchkes to play with!

Chores

We didn't have anything planned this weekend but we sure got a lot done!    

Bailey wanted to get a safe from the Scholastic book order, but she had to earn the money on her own.  To get her last $2 she had to fold all her laundry, put in away and clean her room.  (Her room is always clean so really she just had to do her laundry)

She folded a whole basket of clothes.  (and some of Gregory's since it got into her laundry basket)

Notice the shirt my little man is wearing??  Well, he wore it all weekend!  Tells me its his lucky shirt (It says Daddy's Best Buddy on it)  Did anyone else notice, they are both wearing black shorts, a black had, blue shirt, socks and tennies??!  He always wants to be just like his Daddy!

Howdy, Pardner!

Yi Haw!  Today is Western Day at the kids' school so they donned on their cowboy gear and hoofed it to school!

GONE!

 We FINALLY got rid of the THREE liquid amber trees that plagued our front yard!  All year around those trees are dropping something and driving me nuts.  Well, they are all gone.  Clark has been diligently working on cutting them down, but our HO-as (As Clark calls them) didn't think he was moving fast enough.  So we found someone who'd take care of the whole shebang in one hour.  Whoo Hoo!

Stumps - Daddy and Gregory have their work cut out for them.  It's gonna be a job to dig those puppies out.  We could've had them ground, but Clark wanted the whole thing out so that's what they are doing this weekend!

We will have a great croquet spot as soon as the grass fills in!  Can't wait!

The other day my sister made spring rolls and the kids LOVED them.  They asked me to get the recipe from her so I could make them a batch.  Well, I got the recipe and made them...

Don't they look delicious?  Well, the kids like Aunty Kristin's better and since I don't particularly like to fry, we will be waiting for Aunty to make them another batch! :)

Lucky Day!

It's that time of year again!  The Calvary Spaghetti Feed!  (= RAFFLE!)  We feasted on salad, bread and spaghetti and then the fun began!  We took our raffle tickets and made our way to the prize table to decide which prize we wanted to win.  We inserted our tickets into the containers and waited for the raffle to begin.

My little man is running outta steam!  Let's get this raffle going (Didn't start until 7:30p and we got there at 5:15p!)

We have a winner!  Bailey won a sack of rice (and it's the type we buy!  Lucky!)

Another winner!  Gregory won a water filter!  Whoo hoo!

And another winner!  Pie plate, salt and pepper shakers and tongs!

Oh no!  Another prize!?   And she actually won this prize TWICE!

And we ended the night with Miss Bailey winning TWO MORE PRIZES!  A Kerropi goodie bag and a Fun in the Sun goodie bag!  WHAT A LUCKY DAY!

Needless to say, the kids had a GREAT time at the Raffle (i mean Spaghetti Feed) and can't wait to go again next year!
