My Little Man Turns SIX!

Gregory has been very excited about today.  He has been counting down since the beginning of the month and had this weekend planned for a couple of weeks now.  He decided he wanted ramen for his birthday dinner and a strawberry pie for dessert (peach pie as backup number one and strawberry cake as backup number two)  He called Grandpa and Grandma last week to invite them for ramen and has been letting Bailey know what he'd like for his birthday all month.  Friday Daddy took the day off so we went out for pizza at Amici's and ice cream at Loards, Saturday he had Los Panchos (his favorite chicken tacos) for lunch, ramen at Miraku for dinner and strawberry pie for dessert AND today (his actual birthday) Daddy bbq'd steak and we had a cake for dessert!  Whew ~  He also spent a lot of time in the backyard with Daddy and a lot of time inside playing with Bailey.  It's been a fun-filled weekend and a wonderful sixth birthday for my little man ~

TOMATOES!

We are near the end of September and Gregory's tomatoes are finally turning RED!

He has 22 tomatoes on this bush.

Aren't they pretty?

We cut this tomato into four slices so we could all feast on it!
Daddy didn't eat his, but the rest of us tried it.
Quite tasty! :)
He has harvested about 7 tomatoes and
he has more to come!
He also planted a basil plant at the same time and we've used that a lot this summer.  We even had enough to share with our neighbor!  YUM.  Next year we'll have to plant another tomato and basil plant.

Oh, pumpkin update ~  we won't be having pumpkins from our garden this Halloween.  Our plant is still about 2 inches tall...Next year we'll have to start in the summer!

Gregory's K/1 Class

Yesterday one of the parents in Gregory's class shared a photo she took of the class.  Aren't they cute?  10 kindergarteners and 12 first graders.  It was Mrs. Judice's birthday yesterday so they all made cards and presented her with a portable coffee mug and some movie theater gift cards.
