Today, while Bailey was at school, Gregory and I went to the store to buy some ladybugs to eat all the aphids on our rose bushes. The man who used to own this home loved roses and we are trying our best to keep them alive. I can't wait to see them in full bloom. Our first rose opened and it is just huge! We are also finding other goodies sprouting from the ground! I counted five peony plants that we didn't know about. (We planted four earlier this year) I hope they will bloom. I just love peonies! So exciting ~

Easter Dinner
We had a very nice potluck dinner here at our house for Easter this year. The kids had their Easter hunt (that they've been looking forward to all week!), they had great fun with their cousins - Camryn and Luke - aunties and uncles, Grandpa and Grandma, ate lots of yummy food (and treats galore) and just had an all around wonderful day. Hope you all had a blessed Easter too!

The Visitor
Bailey woke me up at 6:30a to wish me a Happy Easter! She got dressed and sat in the den to watch My Little Pony. At 8:30ish, I hear Gregory yell "MOMMY, Mommy! The Easter Bunny!" I was brushing my teeth so by the time I came out, he had the camera ~ taking photos of what they got and telling Bailey to say "Happy Easter" as he snapped the picture. I'm lucky he's on the ball about stuff like that ~ I think he's tired of me forgetting...
Gregory took a bunch of pictures of all the stuff, but here's a nice one with Bailey in it.

All smiles! :)
I took over so we'd have a couple of shots of Gregory too
He said his table makes a nice tunnel

Egg Hunt (#1)
Today our community had an egg hunt hosted by one of the realtors in the area. A bunch of the neighborhood kids came out and hunted for eggs all over the elementary school Bailey attends. They had a GREAT time!

After the egg hunt they even had a raffle for the grownups!
The Easter bunny even showed up!
The had great prizes hidden in those eggs. Easter stamps, puppets, stickers, candy, bubbles...
Each child got a pinwheel too!

Visit from the Tooth Fairy
With our busy day yesterday, I forgot to post the scoop on the Tooth Fairy visit! Bailey carefully placed her two teeth on the pillow in her unicorn box and put it next to her bed for the fairy. During the night she received a visit and when she woke up she found fairy dust all over her bookshelf and a craft project!
Today we worked on the project. It was a banner for her room.
Hard to tell, but her name is spelled out on the banner and we hung it at the head of her bed.
Here's a close-up of the "B"

Our Oh So Fun Day!
We had a busy day here at our house today! This morning Camryn, Luke, Uncle Ryan and Aunty Joey came over to dye eggs and tonight Lauren, Uncle Rick and Auntie Lynn came over for dinner! So much fun!
Wish Auntie, Uncle and Lauren could've stayed longer, but they are busy looking at colleges this trip!
Here we are coloring the eggs
And then we accessorized! Stickers, beads, sequins, hair, more stickers...
Luke watched...
My toothless Sweets
Here's one of Bailey's favorites
Here are some of the eggs we decorated
Here we are playing with Cutie Marie and Dolly

The Picnic Table
Our kids love to go on picnics and eat outside in the fresh air so we got ourselves a picnic table! Today Daddy put it together and tonight we had our first picnic dinner! Fun, fun, fun!
Bailey's Tooth (teeth) Loss
First thing this morning, we had a appointment with Dr. Tami to extract TWO of Bailey's teeth.
She was the perfect patient! A little nitrous, some lidocaine and a lot of shots, a little twist and we were done! Getting our Jamba Juice took longer than getting two teeth pulled! Our dentist is so sweet and gentle. We love Dr. Tami!

See her permanent tooth already coming in back there?

The Critters!
I caved!
Gregory has been asking me weekly (almost daily) if we can take home their class guinea pigs for the weekend. Introducing...

Dolly (the brown and black) and Cutie Marie (well, the other one)
Now they want to take the critters out of the cage to play with them...We'll wait until after dinner. Two more days to go...and they smell already...lovely

Wooden Egg Coloring
The kids have been dying to work on a craft project for Easter so today we painted wooden eggs!

The weather was nice today so we set up a table outside and got to work

Wooden eggs, watercolor paint, brush and a bowl of water is all you need

Two of Bailey's beautiful eggs

Here are Gregory's
Project #2 - I wanted to make coffee filter flowers with the left over egg dye (always seems like such a waste to toss all the colors) next week so we did a test to see how they work.
You need to color 5 coffee filters - today we used water color paint
Then you fold them accordion style, fasten them with a pipe cleaner and open them up. Lovely! :)
