LEMONS!

Look at these lovelies!  LEMONS!  Lots of LEMONS!  Yesterday Uncle Denis spent the morning picking lemons for us to take home.  107 lemons!  No, we didn't take home 107, but we did take home three large bags of them.  This morning I made a pitcher of detox water and a HUGE pitcher of strawberry lemonade.  (Did I mention, we LOVE LEMONS!?!)  I also squeezed lemons for 4 more batches of lemonade and froze them for later this summer.  I think we'll have yakiniku for dinner tomorrow ~ YUMMO!  Let's hope it cools down a bit.  Daddy said it is going to be too hot to BBQ today.  90 degrees here at 10:30am.  I was running errands at 8am and it was already warm.  Blech ~ guess I'll have to lay down on the couch and take a snoozer while the AC keeps us nice and cool. :)

Vacationing in LA

WOW!  What a fun-filled week we just had!  Starting last Sunday, we drove down to Montebello to celebrate Ryan's graduation from LaVerne.  We ate lots of food and chatted with family.  It was great to see everyone again!  Monday we visited the LA Flower Market and visited Grandpa at Rose Hills.  Then, Uncle Denis, Daddy, Ryan and the kids headed to Knott's Berry Farm while I spent the day with my friend Hyeyon.  We all had great times!!  Wish the day could've been longer! :)  Tuesday we visited Little Tokyo in the morning and headed over to DISNEYLAND!  We checked into our hotel and our room was ready EARLY so we unpacked and spent the afternoon swimming (3 hours!)  We had dinner with the characters at Goofy's Kitchen and went to bed.  Wednesday and Thursday we spent at the parks and today we did a little shopping, stopped by Bachan's and CAME HOME!  TONS of fun, but it sure is nice to be home.  Vacations are always great, but home is BEST!

Long slide show, but filled with happy times!

Happy Father's Day ~ Part 1

Yesterday we went to Stockton for Father's Day dinner.  Daddy joined Bailey and Gregory in the pool and lounged on Bailey's new floatie with his ice cold cerveza.  The rest of the crew came by dinner time and we FEASTED on bbq'd tritip, salmon, grilled veggies, corn salad, green salad, fruit salad, spam musubi, Portuguese beans, chow mein and chow fun.  WOW ~ there was a ton of food.  Plus appetizers and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

School is OUT!

Not sure if I should cheer or cry, but the school year is OVER.  Feels like it just began!  I was just getting into the swing of things and now the last day has come and gone.  Gregory said he had a few sad tears and Bailey is excited for summer.  I'm sure we'll all be fine and summer will fly by like last year.

Gregory's Busy Day ~ Cock-a-doodle-MOO and Moosical

Busy, busy, busy!  Okay, this morning Gregory's teacher had a "Thank you" breakfast ~ waffles, strawberries, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, fruit platter ~ everything shaped in hearts!  Entertainment was provided by the kindergarteners who performed "Cock-A-Doodle-MOO!") ~ our little man was the Rooster.  (And he made a pretty darn cute rooster)  Came home and went back to school for the kindergarten MOOsical.  This time all the kindergarteners performed and they were all oh so cute!  One more day!

We're almost there!  One and a half more days of school after today!  We're still going strong ~ lots of projects and fun activities planned for the kids.  Today Bailey had her second buddy lunch (i forgot to take pictures of yesterdays buddy lunch!)  and we also had field day!
Her buddy's lunch box all decorated

She requested a turkey sandwich, goldfish crackers, kitkats, oranges and a capri sun.
