Backyard Picnic

Our first peony bloomed!

So we decided to have  a picnic in our backyard

Here's our yummy dinner (minus the corn still sitting on the bbq)

It was a perfect day

Our Fun Day

Friday night while the kids slept, we drove down south so we could spend a very fun day at Bachan and Grandpa's house!  In the morning we make a quick trip to Little Tokyo to pick up a few things and another stop at this shaved ice shop in Monterey Park called Fluff Ice.  YUMOLA (although I won't ever eat another boba ball ~ blech)  It's a shaved ice with the flavor frozen into the ice before shaving.  Very tasty and many flavors are dairy free!  After our treat we drove back to Bachan and Grandpa's house so we could have lunch together. Grandpa and Bailey had hamburgers and Ryan had tacos, but the rest of us had TAQUITOS from J&S.  (Wherever you live ~ it is worth the drive!  SO TASTY and it's like $1.35 for two! and that includes guacamole!)   The kids had a great afternoon playing with Ryan and Uncle Denis.  Around 4 the rest of the family came over.  Kids had more fun, we had the most delicious dinner, more fun, crafts and then we drove home.  Day was chock full of fun!  We can't wait to plan our next trip!

Abracadabra

Hmmmmm....What would happen if we put a bar of Ivory soap in the microwave?  (Apparently it does make a difference what brand you use)
Predictions?
Bailey said it'd get smaller
Gregory said it'd melt

So we put it in the microwave for TWO minutes

WOW!

If it wasn't growing all over the microwave walls I could've left it in longer cuz check out the bar of soap still left in the lower right corner!

Pretty neat!  After, hop in the tub and have fun with soap flakes!  (I may regret that decision when I try to clean the tub out though)

The Raffle! (Spaghetti Feed)

Yesterday we went to Stockton for the Calvary Presbyterian Church's annual RAFFLE!  (aka - Spaghetti Feed)
We had spaghetti, salad and bread (all you can eat!) and cake for dessert

Bailey enjoying her dinner

Here she is in her favorite spot

AND onto the RAFFLE!  After dinner we filled out our raffle tickets and went to choose the prizes we wanted to win.  Insert a ticket into the box and wait for raffle to begin!  Here's Bailey and Gregory with a Christmas basket we won!  WHOO HOO!

Gregory with Grandpa and Grandma and his new MARSHMALLOW SHOOTER!  This was the second to last drawing and Gregory REALLY wanted to win.  It turned out to be his lucky day!

Even Aunty Ruth won!  Here she is with her afghan and $20 Jamba Juice gift cards!

I LOVE RAFFLES! :)

Pizza Party

Today the kids had a pizza party! They both love pizza so today I thought it'd be great for them to make their own.
Here they are forming the pizza dough we picked up at Whole Foods
Sauce
Round 1 - Bailey's is on the left and Gregory's is on the right
Here they are working on their second pizza
Apple chicken sausage and olives for Bailey
Mushrooms and sausage for Gregory
Cheese!
They said their pizzas were better than Amici's!

And they want to eat their second pizza for dinner too! (I think I'll have to add a bunch of broccoli though)

Another Tooth Pulled!

This afternoon Bailey had to have her third tooth "helped out". As always, she was the perfect patient. No tears, no squirming around ~ just a model patient. :)
Can you see the adult tooth behind the hole?
Here's the hole
And here's her tooth! Notice the extra long root? Dr. Tami said that wouldn't have ever come out on its own. Tonight we'll see if we get another visit from the tooth fairy! We've been a popular stop for her lately. Oh, and another thing - Bailey has an underbite so we have two months to try and "thumb push" those teeth forward!! Wish us luck!
