Happy Memorial Weekend!

We had a busy weekend!  Saturday and Sunday we went to Stockton to swim and hang out with Grandpa and Grandma while Daddy and Mommy painted Hi-Bachan's house to get ready to rent.  Monday Gregory and Mommy had to work at the Art & Wind festival selling pizza for cub scouts while Daddy and Bailey picnicked on the lawn and watched the kite flyers!  We had TONS of fun and  now we are ready to hop into a cozy bed to sleep.

On the way home from the festival we stopped off at OSH to pick up these nifty misters.  Daddy was sitting in the yellow chair with his cerveza, but he had to do something while Mommy took this shot.

OPEN HOUSE!!

I can't believe we had Open House already!  This year has flown by too quickly and I'm finding summer vacation right around the corner.  Yikes!  Well, we had another great year and my babies had TWO GREAT TEACHERS!  Whoo hoo!
My baby looking more like a hood than a first grader

Uncle Denis ~ Flat Stanley sure had a great time with you!!

We're kind of jealous!

Thank you for taking him to so many fun spots!

He even got to see ELVIS!

Look at all of Gregory's work!  He also had stuff ALL around the room too!

Check out Bailey's fancy barn for Wilbur!  They just finished a unit on Charlotte's Web

Tiger to Wolf

Friday Gregory crossed over from a Tiger Scout to a Wolf Scout!  And his first activity as a wolf was a 1.5 mile hike through the wilderness of Las Trampas National Park led by MOMMY!  (Well, I started out as the leader, but I had to give my job to one of the dads cuz I was pooping out!)  But, I made it and it ended up being a fun day!
His den was in charge of the flag ceremony

Mother's Day Weekend

Yesterday we spent the day in Stockton with our cousins.  Swimming, playing basketball, running around, eating too much and just having way too much fun!  Today we spent at home ~ Mommy opened her handmade gifts, Daddy brought home tulips, we had a nice breakfast together, Daddy BBQd AND we went to ColdStone for dessert!  What a fun weekend!
The water (at the air) was FREEZING, but we all wanted to play in the pool

My beautiful bunch of tulips!

Bailey made me a ceramic cupcake!  Hmmm, what shall I put inside?

Gregory painted a flower pot for me!  AND planted some very pretty flowers inside

For breakfast, Gregory made pancakes to go with our sausage.  His usual Sunday job...

Happy Cuatro de Mayo!

Tomorrow is Boy's Day, so today we celebrated Cuatro de Mayo!  We dined al fresco on carnitas tacos, which I must say, were muy delicioso!!  Carnitas, lime cilantro rice, corn salsa, black beans & avocado dressing on mini corn tortillas (I've been cooking all day!) ~ I wish my tummy could hold more!

Happy Cuatro de Mayo!!

The First Saturday of May

Today was the first Saturday of the month so Daddy took the kids to make their Home Depot woodworking project.  This months they made a flower planter.

We spent most of the afternoon working on our backyard
Gregory planted spinach

Bailey planted rainbow carrots in the tub and Mommy planted beans ~ Italian flat bush beans and blue coco pole beans. Can't wait for all our new veggies to be ready for harvest!  Tonight we had a TON of swiss chard for dinner.  SO YUMMY!

Also added an Indigo Apple tomato plant we got from one of Daddy's work buddies

AND we added a bunch of flowers to our cutting garden!  I CANNOT WAIT!!!  Black-eyed Susan, Hot Papaya echinacea, dianthus, alstromeria (sp), shasta daisies and more!  Gonna be beautiful

Zinnias, gladiolus, dahlias, lilies and hollyhock are all sprouting!  I'm so excited!
