Happy 2011!

We just got home from spending the last two nights at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Daddy stayed home to paint. He thought he'd get a lot done without all of us in the house and I have to agree. He painted Gregory's room and primed our room and is almost finished with the color too.
New Years Eve morning we went to Stockton to help with the preparations. Bailey was a big help this year. She peeled carrots, dried the oboro, stuffed inari sushi - she pretty much helped out every chance she could. Gregory was Grandpa's little shadow. They ran errands, went to the park, Gregory drove his little tractor around the yard and cleaned out the pool too. Busy, busy day. And for dinner we had our annual bowl of New Years Eve soba.

New Years day we woke up and started making sushi and getting everything plated for lunch. Seems like our "first" meal gets later and later. We used to get together for breakfast, but now it's lunch and this year it was a late lunch. We had our ozoni and a ton of other food. Afternoon was filled with lots of pictionary, basketball, drawing and chatting. Then dinner, more games and more chatting. Day flew by and as always, we started the year stuffed with smiles on our faces.
