Gregory Loves...

Gregory is growing up so quickly. I can't believe he's already 20 months old. He definitely isn't a baby anymore. He wants to do everything on his own. Including the things he can't! He is starting to give up his nap, but I'm fighting him on this one. If he doesn't take a nap we have a rough time between 4pm and 7pm!

Gregory loves ~ his pull toys and any toy that sings, moves, dances and/or makes noise. Clark hates them all. He tells Gregory they have to go to sleep when he gets home. He also loves to spend time outside.

He's starting to get picky about what he eats. LOVES miso soup with tofu. Actually he loves anything with tofu. Likes bread, all fruits and slurping up noodles. :) We're trying to get him evaluated for Speech and Language since he isn't talking much. Unfortunately they are booked for the next 4 months! I'm looking into getting him evaluated through the Regional Center now. A lot can happen in 4 months! Actually, I'm not too concerned. Bailey didn't talk until she was two, so we have time before I need to worry.

We found out Gregory is allergic to peanuts. Apparently quite allergic. Normal is below .35 and he's 11. something. But his pediatrician tells me he has seen worse so we'll see... He has never had peanuts so we don't know what type of reaction he'll have if he ever gets his hands on some.

Basically he's a heathy, strong, adventurous kid.

Lindsay Wildlife Museum

This morning we decided to go to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek. We go there all the time since we get in free with our zoo membership. It's a great place to take young kids since they can stand right next to the glass and really see the animals up close. There isn't much to see, but it keeps them busy for an hour or so. Bailey loves to see the rat. She actually likes to pet him, but this time we were only able to watch him in his cage. When they decide they are ready to leave, we go to the park behind the museum to play on the play structures. This time they had a new train slide they both had fun playing on. They finally will go down a slide again! Clark traumatized them by sending them down that water slide at Paradise Pier!

They love to just push all the buttons in the place.

Actually, he's looking at the lady who just moved
the frog that was sitting right in front of him.

Blowing dandelions...

Going home...
...actually,
we're waiting for daddy to get his burrito!

Happy Memorial Weekend!

Well, actually it's the Thursday after Memorial Weekend, but I haven't had time to sit down and type until now. Gregory is actually taking a nap and Bailey is playing quietly with her little friends. She can only play with them when Gregory is sleeping so she'll be occupied for a little while. (i hope)

Memorial weekend was nice. As always we tried to squeeze too much fun stuff into the weekend and didn't get any of our usual weekend chores done. That's okay though. The kids had fun. Saturday we went to San Jose to pick up some Japanese groceries. The place was a madhouse. Some food festival was taking place INSIDE the grocery store. I don't know how we seem to always go when there's something going on at that place. Well, this time we did our shopping and okay, this probably wasn't so much fun for the kids, but they did get out of the house. :) When we got home the kids helped Daddy with the garden and played outside. I think they'd be happy if they could spend all day outside with Daddy.

Sunday we went to Stockton. We took the kids to the Children's Museum. They had a great time climbing on the fire truck, police car, ambulance, bus, playing in the store, playing in the water, making art projects, etc... A great place to let kids run around and have fun.

Monday we went to the Art and Wind festival. We packed a picnic lunch, got our picnic blanket and hopped in the car. It was FREEZING! We sat and watched the kite flyers, but all I could think of was how cold it was. We only stayed for an hour or so...I'm still amazed what they can do with a kite. I just wished it was a little warmer...

No pictures to share this week. Our camera is out of batteries and I haven't had time to go to Costco to pick up more. I'll try to take some this weekend and post next week...

Monterey Bay Aquarium

I finally got around to downloading our photos from the Aquarium.

Here are a couple from the restaurant. Nice view of the bay...and of the highchairs.

Vacation

Like our website, I haven't made a post in some time. Partly because I forgot our password and partly because it just is really hard to find the time to add things.

Well, it's May now and we just got back from our vacation. We took the kids to Disneyland for a couple of days and hung out with the family for a couple of days, came home and then took a day trip to Monterey. Time flew by and, as always, there just doesn't seem to be enough time to do everything we wanted.

The kids both had a WONDERFUL time at Disneyland this year - or this time around. I was telling someone the other day, Gregory is 18 months old and this was his third trip to the most magical place on Earth. We just love it there! Anyways, this time, Gregory was old enough to ride all the rides with us. We even took them on the Pirates of the Carribean! Bailey says her favorite ride is Heimlich's Chew Chew Train at California Adventure and I think Gregory's favorite was Casey Jr. Circus Train - or maybe Dumbo? I must say, I won't be taking them to see the "It's Tough to Be a Bug" show anymore. I thought it was too scary for me and I know Gregory found it scary. Bailey said she didn't like the show, but liked the butterfly. That show goes in the Haunted House column for me. Won't be going anymore... But, we WILL be going to the Enchanted Tiki Room! I love that show and Clark had never seen it. So I made them all go and guess what! Everyone LOVED it! I almost cried watching the kids enjoy the show. Let's see - more loves - the Jungle Cruise, Autopia, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the train & amp; Flick's Flyers (I don't like this one, but the kids do). AND the pool at the hotel - minus the waterslide - don't bring that up with Bailey. She still cries whenever we talk about it.

Monterey was great. We go there often so writing about it is kinda like writing about the zoo. This time we had lunch at the aquarium instead of fisherman's wharf - gives us more time at the aquarium and the food was pretty good, too. We did stop at the wharf to get our caramel popcorn and cotton candy though! I haven't been able to give up caramel popcorn - I haven't really had any cake, pie or ice cream since my heart attack. But I still get caramel popcorn every time we go to Monterey! (Hmmm, is that why I love going there so often??)
