Transportation Day - A day in San Francisco

Daddy took the week off so we could hang out while the kids are on Spring Break. We thought about going down to LA, but he wanted to finish the counter and he has a meeting he has to attend on Thursday so we hung around town. There really is so much to see around here and we pretty much stay around our 10 mile radius most of the time so we decided to see the sights in our own area! Today we "toured" San Francisco! We woke up early, drove to Oakland and caught the ferry to San Francisco. Once we were in the city we walked to the cable car pick up, hopped aboard and headed to Japantown. The cable car doesn't quite make it all the way so our next adventure was on the taxi! We hung out in Japantown, did a little shopping and had lunch at Iroha (miso ramen is still as yummy as I remember) After lunch we picked up some namagashi and flagged a cab back to the ferry building. (We wanted to take BART too, but we were just too pooped to deal with the madness so we cabbed it all the way) The weather was perfect and we had a great time playing tourist here in our backyard.

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter! We had a quiet Easter (well, as quiet as it can be with two kiddies) The Easter Bunny ended up making an appearance at our house this year. The kids were a little worried this morning since the bunny decided to hide their gift! The kids played the day away, Daddy did a little more work on our kitchen and Mommy was even able to squeeze in a NAP! All in all, a happy day.

Egg Dyeing and The Hunt!

Since the forecast calls for rain tomorrow and Daddy is back at working on the other counter, we decided to color eggs and have our little egg hunt today. The kids each dyed six eggs and hunted for 15! They had a very busy day and I'm glad it's almost over. Mommy is POOPED!

Easter Cupcakes

We decided to make our Easter cupcakes today! While Bailey was at school, Gregory and I baked carrot cake cupcakes and after lunch we decorated them with "cream cheese" frosting, jelly beans and candy carrots. The kids ate their creations for their after lunch treat. YUMOLA!
