2012 Ornaments

This past weekend, Daddy was chatting about putting our Christmas tree up this weekend. So we had to get rolling on our 2012 Christmas ornaments! This year, Bailey decided we'd make three ~ a reindeer, a penguin and a snowman. Here's what we came up with...





We started with the reindeers ~ using your thumb,
make a few prints on the ornament.



Let 'em dry

Then we started stuffing these clear ornaments
with cotton stuffing



Leave a heart-shaped opening and paint the rest a pretty blue
(yes, they are usually black, but what fun is that?!)

Back to the reindeer...Add details.








Don't forget the RED nose!

Add details to the penguins

I added eyelashes, too!

Somewhere in there, we ran to the bathroom to give these babies a handshake. 
We still need to add the details tomorrow.  There were too wet.

Mommy especially loves the reindeer.

But these snowmen are gonna be pretty special, too!

CRAZY HAIR!

This morning was CRAZY!  Crazy Hair Day at Golden View!!

Gregory's whole class came to school with crazy hair!

We tried to spike Gregory's hair and then we painted it GREEN
(still his favorite color)

~ and, of course, painted PINK!
(HEY!? Where are her glasses?!?!)

Turkey Trot Fun Run!

Today at Golden View, we had the Turkey Trot Fun Run to raise 

money for a new playground.

The Glory!

My boys have been busy in the backyard. Every free moment, they are out there digging up our yard. Last weekend, they managed to remove our huge mulberry tree ~ roots and all (and there were A LOT of roots!) We are almost there. This weekend, they plan to work on the deck and maybe the planter boxes. They have one (maybe two) more trees to remove and then we can start fresh.

Bailey's New Look!

This afternoon we drove to Dr. K's office to pick up Bailey's new glasses! She's been patiently waiting and they finally came in yesterday. How do you like her new look?!
