Daddy's Birthday - Part 3 (and final for this year)

We had quite a busy day today.  Ran lots of errands, boys did a lot of yard work and we ended the day with a (3rd) birthday celebration dinner for Daddy!

Egg Hunt and Daddy's day pt 2

This morning the kids went on their first egg hunt of the season.  It was sponsored by one of our neighborhood realtors and the kids had a great time!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy turned 48 today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!)
and all I could muster up was take out from Pasta Pomadoro

Cuz this is how I spent my entire afternoon! (Well, 2 hours of it ~ 4 hours were on the road!)  We are planning to celebrate this weekend, but I was hoping to at least whip up a cake before dinner! :(

My little man looking quite spiffy ~ there's a funny story that goes along with this.  You'll have to ask him about it. :)

Happy St Patty's Day!

Happy St Patrick's Day!  The kids had quite an exciting day and we've been preparing for about 4 days!
The kids worked on making leprechaun traps this week.  They drew their design on a paper, listed the supplies they needed and we set up camp in the garage!

Of course, Daddy had to get in on the action!

He was in charge of adding the chicken wire

This one is Bailey's

This morning the Leprechaun came!  He left green necklaces, a green pot and hid gold coins all over the house!  (Thank goodness, no GLITTER this year!)

This one is Gregory's.
They left almonds and flower petals in his trap to lure in the leprechaun

For dinner the kids enjoyed shamrock shakes!  YUM

Happy Girl's Day, Bailey!

Bailey has had our day planned for about a week now.  The kids look forward to Girl's and Boy's Day ~ Bailey tells me this is the lucky part about being Japanese!  She decided we'd spend the day at the zoo and have chicken enchiladas for dinner and that is what we did. :)
What a perfect day to spend at the zoo!  Weather was just beautiful!  Even in Oakland!!

Our budding photographer

We packed a lunch of spam musubi and strawberries (Have you eaten strawberries lately?  We picked some up at the Farmer's Market yesterday and they are DELICIOUS!)

Notice who's missing?  Thank goodness they all fit in one swing cuz I DON'T LIKE THOSE THINGS!  I did get a nice photo though

Happy Girl's Day Sweetie!

Enjoying chicken enchiladas, corn pudding and broccoli

Bailey's new favorite dessert (Better than chocolate crinkles!)  Chocolate pudding brownies ~ think lava cake.  Quite delicious and vegan!  AND so simple to make!!:)
