GONE!

 We FINALLY got rid of the THREE liquid amber trees that plagued our front yard!  All year around those trees are dropping something and driving me nuts.  Well, they are all gone.  Clark has been diligently working on cutting them down, but our HO-as (As Clark calls them) didn't think he was moving fast enough.  So we found someone who'd take care of the whole shebang in one hour.  Whoo Hoo!

Stumps - Daddy and Gregory have their work cut out for them.  It's gonna be a job to dig those puppies out.  We could've had them ground, but Clark wanted the whole thing out so that's what they are doing this weekend!

We will have a great croquet spot as soon as the grass fills in!  Can't wait!

The other day my sister made spring rolls and the kids LOVED them.  They asked me to get the recipe from her so I could make them a batch.  Well, I got the recipe and made them...

Don't they look delicious?  Well, the kids like Aunty Kristin's better and since I don't particularly like to fry, we will be waiting for Aunty to make them another batch! :)

Lucky Day!

It's that time of year again!  The Calvary Spaghetti Feed!  (= RAFFLE!)  We feasted on salad, bread and spaghetti and then the fun began!  We took our raffle tickets and made our way to the prize table to decide which prize we wanted to win.  We inserted our tickets into the containers and waited for the raffle to begin.

My little man is running outta steam!  Let's get this raffle going (Didn't start until 7:30p and we got there at 5:15p!)

We have a winner!  Bailey won a sack of rice (and it's the type we buy!  Lucky!)

Another winner!  Gregory won a water filter!  Whoo hoo!

And another winner!  Pie plate, salt and pepper shakers and tongs!

Oh no!  Another prize!?   And she actually won this prize TWICE!

And we ended the night with Miss Bailey winning TWO MORE PRIZES!  A Kerropi goodie bag and a Fun in the Sun goodie bag!  WHAT A LUCKY DAY!

Needless to say, the kids had a GREAT time at the Raffle (i mean Spaghetti Feed) and can't wait to go again next year!

Tomorrow Grandma turns 75 so today we gathered together for a celebration!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  Ours was filled with family fun, lots of food and laughter!  We even had a special visit from that funny Easter bunny.  The kids were pretty much convinced he didn't come to our house this year.  They searched and searched and found nothing.  Well, Daddy suggested they sit down at the kitchen table to figure things out and what do you know!  The bunny left something hidden on their seats ~ well, Gregory somehow ended up on Daddy's seat so he had even more of a scare.  Yikes!  Well, we all had a great Easter and a fun Spring Break too!  Tomorrow it's back to our usual routine with school starting bright and early!

Happy Hollow

This morning we packed a picnic lunch and drove to Happy Hollow in San Jose.  Traffic was TERRIBLE, but perfect weather, not too many people and just having some family time together (away from working in our yard) made for a great day!
