Happy Birthday, Bailey and Gregory!

Tonight we celebrated the kids' birthdays with a family dinner. I forgot to take pictures until after I finished eating!!
My little man fell asleep in the middle of the party! He got all his five year old shots yesterday along with the pneumonia vaccine and the flu shot. He can barely walk and they just got the best of him
An "after" photo. I'm so mad at myself that I didn't get a "before" shot!
We had LOTS of yummy food.
Sweets ready to open presents
Batman pajama WITH a CAPE!
Posing with Aunty Kristin
Aunty Kristin with the kiddies ~ where's Lukie??
The cousins - Grandma's cousins from Hawaii joined us. That's Aunty Noni and Aunty Taffy.
Bailey got this shirt AND she gets to add the color! Isn't that nifty?
Cake - Bailey picked Barbie, but the bakery said their decorator couldn't draw a Barbie so she added flowers. Gregory picked Lightning McQueen - That's Mater on the side
Our little birthday cuties!

ROBBED

We've been robbed! Well, Clark was robbed. Someone broke into his car last night while it was parked in West Oakland.
They broke the glass
Dented up the metal
And all they got was some change, a Sharpie pen, at gift card with 30 cents left on it and his GPS (that only spoke in Queen's English and got us lost all the time) ~ left everything in his trunk! Clark says he feels violated and is very blue about the whole thing. Maybe he'll start taking BART from a safer location!

Primo's Run 2011 (Updated)

Today was the Primo's Run for Education and this year they were expecting 10,000 people!
Daddy started in Danville, so we met him in San Ramon. We had to get there very early to find a parking spot and still we were VERY far away!
This guy rode from Danville. Is that cheating?
Here we are waiting for Daddy.
We missed him crossing the finish line! We were standing there, but somehow he got passed us. He walked around for 10 minutes eating treats and drinking water and finally found us.

Whoo hoo! He made it in 1:50 or so. Shaved off 7 minutes from his best time, but some dude (not a runner) decided to jump in front of him near the end and caused him to stop so he's a little annoyed now. UPDATE - Daddy's final time was 1:50:17! (He's very angry with the dude that jumped in front of him and causing him to not make it under 1:50)

G&M Pumpkin Patch

This year we decided to try a new pumpkin patch. I was actually thinking of just going to Safeway and getting 3 for $10, but since Halloween is Bailey and Gregory's favorite holiday, we tried to rally and actually go to a pumpkin patch. Bailey went to visit the G&M Farm last year for school so we decided to try that patch this year. I have to say, it is a very well organized, clean place.
Lots of pumpkins to choose from!
They have a field of large pumpkins and a field of small ones - all the same price though

They have this hay bale maze for the little kids - they have a large corn maze that they featured on David Letterman, but we didn't do that one.

Here's our bounty. We found 6 lovely pumpkins! And you get one gourd for each pumpkin you purchase too!

Halloween Ornaments

It's that time of year again. Bailey and Gregory's favorite holiday is around the corner so today we made some spooky ornaments to hang on our chandelier!
First we cut out a face
We filled glass ornaments with floor wax and glitter for the jack-o-lantern and frankie and cotton for the ghost!
Look! Jack-o-lantern!
Aren't the cute?
They each made a ghost, frankenstein and jack-o-lantern ornament
Doesn't our chandelier look spooky? :)
