Day 3

Today we fished at Lake Mamie.  I think this may have been my favorite spot.  Quiet, still water and plenty of space to just kick back and relax.  Highlight of the day was Lauren actually catching a real live fish!!  We had a patch of rain and hail in the afternoon that brought us home, but after dinner our hard core fisherfolks went out there for round two!
When our day started the skies were just the most beautiful blue color

Day 2

This morning we started Day 2 of vacation at the bait shop to pick up some night crawlers so we could give fishing another try.  Today we fished at Lake Mary.  I think we fished for 5 hours and came back to the condo to regroup before heading out for a little sightseeing!  We took a shuttle to see the Devils Postpile and Rainbow Falls.  It was about a 4 mile hike that nearly killed me.  My heart monitor kept telling me to call my doctor!  Won't be doing that again, but it really was worth the view.  Such a beautiful area we are vacationing in!

Summer Vacation!!

My alarm went off at 4:45am so we could hit the road and travel to Mammoth Lake, CA to meet Uncle Denis, Auntie Lynn and Lauren!!  On the way, we met Kim to drop JJ off with him ~ He's going to take care of my little baby while we vacation...I think we ended up leaving around 6am and including our stops we rolled into Mammoth around 11:30a.  Not too bad, but the roads are quite curvy once we hit the mountains and we are happy we decided to travel during the daylight hours.
