Car washing, screen repair, hair cut = Busy Day!

A little of this and that today. Along with running errands in the morning, the kids washed their cars, Daddy repaired our window screens and Bailey got a hair cut! What a day.

Okay, here's the story. I was sitting outside watching Clark fix the screens and I mentioned it was too loose. So he decides to make it extra tight and look, the whole thing is all bowed. Not to mention...

...this hole he put in the new screen when he put it back in the window. Yes, it's all my fault for mentioning the thing being too loose. Now he's going to start over again tomorrow. Good thing he bought the cheap screen!

Bailey wanted to cut her hair like Gregory, but then she decided on just above the shoulder. Poor thing was so tired at the hair dresser she almost fell asleep on the horse.

My sweets taking a snoozer. She never takes a nap and for the last two days she's been snoozing away in the afternoon. Guess all the walking yesterday and errands today were just too much for her. We'll have to take it easy tomorrow.

Day in San Francisco

Today Clark took a vacation day and we took the kids to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. I think it reopened it's doors in September, but it's taken us until now to make the trip out there. Some days San Francisco seems like a world away even though Daddy goes out there every day for work! It was well worth the wait and the trip. I think we ended up getting there around 11am (we were trying for 9:30a when the doors open, but we all know how that goes) and stayed until 2:30ish? It's a beautiful building with lots and lots of stuff to see. It'll be a really great place to visit once the crowds thin. Today we were chatting with one of the volunteers and he was saying on the weekend you can barely walk around so today was quite nice. We were able to walk around and all, but there were a lot of people there. I can't imagine taking kids on the weekend!! Crowds aside, we all had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

In the aquarium section, they have all these small aquariums
set up and they are just the perfect height for kids to see.
Gregory looking at the touch pools
(of course he didn't touch anything)
Bailey touching the sea star and abalone.
Gregory just soaking everything in.
 Lunch break!
Daddy made musubis this morning and we packed
up some grapes and finger jello to go along with them.
We found a nice bench outside the academy, but after
walking around after lunch we found some perfect
picnic spots within the grounds that we will eat at next time.
One of the highlights was the rain forest section.
Once you enter, they have butterflies,
birds, frogs, fish, etc all around.
Bailey LOVED seeing the butterflies!

I'm not sure if Bailey realized they were stuffed,
but she liked seeing these animals up close.
Check out the photoshow section. I'm going to post another show with more pictures. I think we took close to 80 while we were there. Don't worry, I won't post them all! So much to see!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, almost!

I love handmade ornaments! Clark and I used to make them together, but the last couple of years the kids and I have been working on them. (Well, actually this is Gregory's first year at it) This year is no exception. Today we started with beading clear and red beads onto florist wire and pipe cleaners. I think they will look so pretty with our Christmas lights shining behind them. We still have a couple more projects to work on before Thanksgiving weekend. Now that we have a FAKE tree we just need to set it up, but our tree is always up and decorated Thanksgiving weekend! :) Can't wait!

The florist wire twisted, but it's a fancy ornament holder

A Quick Trip to the Museum

This morning Bailey wanted to go to the museum to see her buddies. Clark wanted to stay home and watch tv, but she pleaded and off we went to the museum. Nothing new to report. Same animals, same toys in the discovery room. They had a good time though. (guess that's the same too!:)) Now on Friday we're going to the new Academy of Sciences in San Francisco!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! :)
