Celebrate!

We had lots to celebrate yesterday.  It was a fun-filled, busy day for us!

It was HOT ~ 106 was the high and Bailey and I spent 3 hours at a pool party (it was 100 during the party ~ one mom kept checking.)  It was nearly the death of me, but Bailey had a great time with her friends!

Today was also my birthday!!  After I recovered from the pool party (and we made sure the Kings weren't playing well), we went out for Japanese food and ordered the Love Boat.  Filled with tempura, sashimi, california rolls, chicken and beef teriyaki, salad and miso soup.  YUM!  We then came home for dessert.

Looks like they are celebrating (Daddy took a bunch of pictures of the TV), but they lost in OT.  Clark is blue cuz all the LA teams stink ~ NOT something to celebrate, but it happened yesterday

Look what is growing in our GARDEN!  Yes!  We also harvested a bunch of basil, cut lots of green onions, picked peppermint and lemon verbena and just having a great time watching things grow!  Oh! Next we'll have to take pictures of our potatoes!  They are also doing quite well.

Exciting Day!

This morning Bailey's class had a "Pastries for Parents" day.  They served us breakfast, cleaned up the dishes, gave us a beautiful orange rose, a CD scrapbook of photos from the year, a notepad AND sang a very touching (and teary) song.  We are so lucky Mrs. Stifter and Mrs. Pardo were her teachers this year!  They accomplished quite a lot!
Bailey's Second Grade Memory Book filled with work from the year and a PowerPoint presentation she put together.  LOVE IT!

Gregory came home and first thing he tells us is....HE WON AN AWARD!  An award for Patience and Flexibility!  WHOO HOO!

Then Bailey lost her tooth!

Field Trip ~ Jelly Belly Factory!

Today I did something I said I'd never do ~ volunteered to chaperone a field trip!  I actually didn't get to ride with Gregory, but met up with his class at the factory.  Lots of school field trips there today and WOW was it NOISY!  Needless to say, I'm POOPED and it'll be a while before I do that again.  (Although, Gregory tells me his favorite part of his field trip was hanging out with me so I just may not be able to resist for long)  Tomorrow, Pastries with Parents in Bailey's class!  Next eight days are jam packed with activities!  Hold on to your HATS!!
Gregory's class went to visit the Jelly Belly Factory!

Haircuts

Friday Gregory went to get his haircut
Doesn't he look spiffy?!

Then out of the blue, Bailey said she wants to cut her hair short!
Her hair was getting pretty long ~ most days we pulled it back into a pony tail.
So today I called and Kim was able to fit her into her schedule

It's a little above her shoulder now!  CUTE!  It'll be perfect for summer!
