A little motivation or peer pressure?

After dinner tonight Bailey wanted to go and ride her tricycle. (I think seeing Ollie and Emma riding yesterday got her motivated to try riding herself.) Daddy took her to the front of the house to practice. Her physical therapist said to find a little incline to ride down and we have a perfect little hill in front of our house. And once Bailey got the hang of it, Gregory decided he wanted to join in too! We had a couple of spills and a couple of skinned knees, but they both had a lot of fun. :)

Spending a day in Stockton

Last night Aunty Ruth broke her arm and had to have surgery. She was discharged today and will be staying at Mom and Dad's while she recovers. We went to see how she was doing. Uncle Bob, Aunty Kristin, Ollie, Emma, Aunty Ann, Auntie Patsy, Uncle Gary, Uncle Frank and Hibachan also came to see how she was doing. The kids all had a great time swimming, picking veggies, eating and playing together. Bailey even played Mexican dominoes with Aunty Ann, Ollie and Emma! Again, mommy wasn't on the ball with the photo taking, but we have a few shots to share.

Painting (pt 1) of our paper mache bowls

Today we popped the balloons that we used to form our paper mache bowls, trimmed the sides and painted the outside. Bailey did a great job trimming her bowl, but her absent minded mommy forgot to take photos! I would've forgotten to take photos all together if Grandpa didn't ask why I wasn't taking any photos for the internet! I got a few in of the two of them painting. They decided they made nice hats. What do you think?

Paper Mache

Now who doesn't love to get the hands all gooey in liquid starch and smooth torn paper onto a balloon?! I love it so today I had the kids paper mache! We tore newspaper into strips and covered a balloon. They got the starch in between their fingers, on their clothes and I think Gregory even got some on him face. What a fun time!

Tomorrow we'll try and make them into bowls and paint them! Whoo hoo!
