The BIG News!

Good thing we have a TON of extra dirt in our backyard

Daddy is a determined man. But now they are OUT and we are ready to plant some new grass and our new dogwood tree. Yipee!

Astronomy Night

Tonight was Astronomy Night at Golden View!  Kids had a GREAT time even though we only stayed for 90 minutes.  Bailey went to the A's game today and still had homework and it was WAY past Gregory's bedtime.  Gonna be a long day tomorrow...

Chabot Space & Science Center came and had all sorts of projects set up for the kids.  This one was making a 3D model of Orion

Making spectroscopes.  They also did something with beads to represent all the planets and a constellation viewer.  Oh and a Moon Phase Wheel!  But the coolest thing was in that big blue tent in the background.  They had a planetarium set up and we took a trip to Jupiter and watched the Earth as we floated through space!  Very cool!

PJs!

Today I went to Joanns and found the cutest fabric on sale.  Kids needed some new pajamas so this is what we came up with!

Light weight material perfect for summer!  If I knew how to sew a yukata they had lots of material perfect for  obon

I also made Bailey some shorts.  I was planning to make a shopping bag with this material, but she liked it so I'll use 1/2 for a bag and made shorts with 1/2.  Plus it gave me a chance to make them a little more comfy ~ sometimes eyeing things doesn't work the way you'd like ;)

Next, I think I'll make myself a bag and maybe a sundress for Bailey?  Tomorrow Gregory wants to go back and pick some fabric for short pjs too.  Guess I'll be busy sewing for the next couple of days! :)

Mommy's Day!

I had a very nice Mother's Day weekend!  We pretty much hung around the house, but I was able to read a book AND squeeze in 2 snoozers!!  Daddy and the kids did a lot of work in the garden and we had a perfect lazy weekend.

Beautiful flowers started my day! :)

Daddy is still working on the roots in the front.  Number 2 is about to come out!!

Muffins with Mommy

Today Gregory's class had a Muffins with Mommy day.  We had muffins, chocolate dipped strawberries and orange juice.  The kids all made bracelets and added a little shrink art heart they worked on and Mrs. Judice ended the event with a story.
